| 7/02 – 12/09 | Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Princeton, New Jersey Senior Program Consultant I worked both internally with foundation staff on program development and evaluation, as well as externally, providing technical assistance to foundation grantees around the country. My work with the foundation focused on public health policy advocacy at the state, local and tribal levels. |
| 6/98 – 7/02 | American Cancer Society, Portland, Oregon Director of Advocacy, Northwest Division (AK, MT, OR, WA) I supervised a staff of nine and managed contracts with several lobbyists and consultants, all working to achieve ACS’s public policy objectives in four states. I developed and managed the budget for the advocacy department, and was primarily responsible for strategic planning and priority setting. I was initially hired by ACS in 6/98 as the advocacy manager in Oregon, and following a four state merger was promoted to manage the regional advocacy department in 11/99. |
